Sylvan has it's roots in a rural Indiana town named Wolcottville. The plant was located near Sylvan lake and 
began producing pontoon boats and small house boats in the late 1940's under the name of Sylvan Industries. 
Sylvan has become a household name in the aluminum fishing boat and recreational boating circles.
